Welcome to Luc Gardens.

My design practice is based in the Worthing area and also covers a large part of Sussex.

Before I started to design gardens professionally, I spent many years transforming the gardens of friends and created several ‘dementia gardens’ for a local charity.

My studies at the KLC School of Design have further grounded my understanding of good design and I have a vast knowledge of plants based on 30 years of personal experience.

I am very keen to create spaces that are unique for the people who commission me and always strive to create special gardens based on their personal tastes. Although I have designed many gardens for large organisations, I am just as keen to work with private clients working on some large but also very small spaces.

In the course of my career as a manager in Health and Social Care, I discovered the difference gardens can make to the lives of people with physical disabilities and those experiencing mental ill-health, including those living with dementia. In this context, I have designed several therapeutic spaces for Care homes, Services for people with disabilities and several large gardens for the local NHS Trust.
